Sterling Maximo, ND, EAMP is an expert in integrative medicine with a focus on women’s health, fertility, and endocrine health. She is excited to blend the wisdom of Eastern and Western perspectives to offer the patient the best, most effective treatment options for the whole family.
She focuses on the patient as a whole person and devotes the time and energy needed to get to the root cause. She embraces the doctor patient relationship, educating and empowering the patient to become actively involved in their own healing.
Dr. Maximo earned a bachelor's degree in Asian Studies at Pomona College. She has lived in China, Honduras, and Mexico and loves to travel. This exploration of different cultures ultimately led to her explore different systems of medicine, and she promptly sought out a dual degree at Bastyr University where she studied both Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture.
In addition to primary care family medicine, she also has more specific interests including pediatrics, women's health, fertility, preconceptive care, postpartum support, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, environmental medicine, clean living, migraines, and chronic disease.
When not practicing medicine, she can often be found hiking in the Cascades with her family. Dr. Maximo is available to see patients for both naturopathic medicine and acupuncture on Wednesdays at Aria Integrative Medicine in NE Seattle.
